ManpowerGroup EHS Engineer in Wilmington, Delaware

The EHS Engineer utilizes scientific, engineering, and other technical resources/skills to support site environmental, health and safety activities to maintain compliance with government environmental and safety regulations and company environmental, health and safety standards.

Job Title: EHS Engineer

Location: Wilmington, DE

Pay Range: $75,000-95,000

What’s the Job?

  • Provides focused technical expertise to promote workplace and product safety by identifying and monitoring potential hazards to people or property.

  • Reviews and recommends content of health and safety policies and programs. Identifies the necessary resources to achieve objectives and targets the proper implementation and maintenance of EHS management system.

  • Participates in compliance audits, actively leads/assists management in conducting risk assessments and participates on health and safety teams.

  • Inspects and audits plant operations for process safety requirements and identifies and corrects potential deficiencies.

  • Conducts and/or participates in hazard assessments, recommends solutions to identified hazards, designs and implements solutions.

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university with 4-8 years related experience.

  • Experience working in a production environment within a manufacturing, chemical or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of government regulations related to EPA, & OSHA General Industry and Process Safety Management standards, and company policies.

  • Experience in DNREC, EPA and other environmental reports as required by permit or regulation.

  • Experience conducting audits and CAPA’s related to EHS.
