Our client, a leading distribution company, is seeking a Food Formulator Associate to join their team. As a Food Formulator Associate, you will be part of the Manufacturing department. The ideal candidate will have commitment to quality, precision and teamwork which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Food Formulator Associate
Location: West Seneca, NY
Pay Range: $17.50
Shift: 2:00pm - 11:00pm Must have weekend availability
In this role, you'll play a key role in crafting delicious and consistent food products. You'll be responsible for:
Formulating magic: Accurately measure and blend a variety of spices, dry goods, eggs, and raw meat according to our recipes.
Food safety champion: Ensure food safety throughout the production process, adhering to USDA regulations and our HACCP program.
Ingredient guru: Maintain a strong understanding of common food allergens and their implications.
Master of machines: Operate basic food manufacturing equipment like grinders and choppers with confidence.
Quality control: Diligently inspect products to guarantee they meet our high standards.
Cleanliness crew: Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
Team player: Collaborate effectively with your fellow food enthusiasts to achieve production goals and create a positive work environment.
What you bring to the table:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment (a plus!)
Keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality
Ability to stand, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer skills
Understanding of safe food handling practices
