BOSTIK is hiring! We are currently looking for a Manager of Transportation & Distribution.
As a Manager of Transportation & Distribution, you will report to the Head of Supply Chain Management of the Americas Region. The position is responsible for the strategy and operational processes and systems of logistics supporting the Bostik business units in North America.

· Position scope include Transportation for all three BU's and Distribution & Warehousing for IA and NW
· Effective cascade of goals and priorities from the business teams and the Americas Supply Chain Leadership Team through strategy deployment for direct reports and the matrix logistics operations in North America.
· Center-led leadership for material movement technology and process best practices within Bostik's end-to-end supply chain from suppliers to internal operations and third-party customers.
· Collaboration with plant warehouses for the development and maintenance of safe, responsive and cost-effective processes and systems for receiving, shipping, warehousing, freight services, transport planning, and reverse logistics.
· Within scope are chiefly inbound and outbound transportation, public warehousing and inventory control, as well as procure-to-pay management of logistics services.
· Design, training, and continuous improvement of standard logistic process and system for customer specific programs such as vendor managed inventory, consignment and freight policy.
· Day-to-day operation of the Wauwatosa warehouse
· Member of the Americas Supply Chain Leadership Team
Practice good ergonomic and safe work habits in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and Bostik specific EHS guidelines.
Lead the development and communication of Logistics Strategies including service provider assessment, market trend and regulatory requirements such as dangerous goods classification, short- and long-term sourcing options, return process, historical pricing and activity analyses.
Keep current compliance with classification and regulatory requirements for dangerous goods logistics.
Manage reporting of logistics incidents (spills, accidents, etc.) and responsible for communication and mitigation with the service providers and internal stakeholders.
Plan and implement business requirements of logistic capacities for freight volume/lane, third-party warehousing, and distribution network and policy.
Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive dashboard, database, and multi-dimensional analytics for freight cost, warehousing cost, and logistics service provider service performance.
Establish and control budgets for inbound/outbound/transfer freight and 3PL warehousing services.
Meet or exceed expense budget objectives. Develop monthly metrics for quality, cost, and effectiveness of operation for areas of overall responsibility. Generate regular, periodic reports to businesses, including recommended actions for continuous improvement and goal attainment.
Develop and manage Approved Logistics Suppliers for primarily domestics and secondarily international requirements.
Collaborate with Arkema GASP to identify, negotiate and execute Logistics Service Provider Agreements, providing the highest total value to Bostik with continuity of supply, control of cost, and risk minimization.
Manage the procure-to-pay process for logistics services including carrier claims and logistics invoice audit and processing.
Manage Wauwatosa Distribution and Lamination warehouse operation including but not limited to safety, shipping, receiving, inventory control, cost.
Support all USA plant warehouses of Bostik to ensure timely pick up and delivery, and efficient and safe operation.
Lead the establishment of logistics policy and work flow procedures for application across all Bostik USA operations.
Team with Supply Chain Process Owner to insure proper training of logistics personnel across all North America operations with the objective of effective and efficient execution of SAP process flow.
Plan, execute and control the day-to-day logistics operation and trade compliance for material classification, import and export rules, hazardous material handling and storage.
Work closely with plants and business teams to analyze trend and lead the resolution of customer complaints of logistical issues, customer returns, and other service failures of carriers and public warehouses.
Complete Pure safety training in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned.
Cost effective transportation and warehousing services with excellent performance in safety and reliability
Vision, strategy, and execution of logistics best practices in both processes and technologies to best support business priorities and growth objectives.
Visibility of drivers of cost and service through smart metrics and continuous improvement initiatives
Alignment of roles and objectives with other functional leaders.
Assurance of safety performance of 3PL providers in serving all aspects of Bostik needs.

Qualifications / Experience Required
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related discipline. Master degree or MBA is preferred.
APICS CPIM, CSCP or other logistics related industry certification is also a big plus.
Minimum 10 years of warehouse and transportation work experience with a medium to large multi-facility organization; experience with a chemical manufacturing environment highly desirable.
DOT/IATA/IMDG hazardous material certification or equivalent work experience
Extensive technical knowledge of the U.S. domestic transportation industry and the various costing and operating models, all modes
Demonstrated success in implementing or using warehouse management system and transportation management software or service (TMS) in a global ERP environment
Strong interpersonal skills; enjoys working in a collaborative, cross functional team environment and has the ability to train and lead others
Demonstrated competencies in goal setting, planning, project management, and effective decision making
Demonstrated strong relationship management and negotiation skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills; Lean Six Sigma background is desirable.
Capable of multi-tasking in a fast paced environment with conflicting timelines
Strong analytical skill; demonstrated systems proficiency with MRP/ERP systems -- SAP experience is a big plus; advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
Experience in or knowledge of International Logistics and U.S. Trade Compliance is a plus
10% to 30% travel is expected.
