Manpower Group Distribution Channel Manager - Remote in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

The Distribution Channel Manager will manage the Distribution Sales Team which includes industrial distribution, MRO distribution channels, and transportation distribution channel (Marine, RV).

Oversee the management of the Distribution Durable Good Sales team
Develop a specific Distribution Program addressing the multiple channels Bostik is targeting
Responsible for communicating and executing Sales plan with team as approved by the Commercial Director and or Business Team and in coordination with Durable Goods National Sales Managers
Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.
Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
Participate in setting and controlling compensation and incentive programs that are in line with the organizations strategic initiatives..
Assist with recruitment, training, and development of field sales and/ or agency sales teams as required to support field activity
Develop strategic initiatives that will help maximize profitable growth in order to achieve annual budget objectives.
Work closely with market teams (MST) to focus on chosen technology/market combinations
Develop and implement skill development objectives aligned with our strategy including Sales Process and Key Distribution Management programs
Manage significant cross-process collaboration
- Management of the Distribution Sales Team which includes the following channels:
1: Industrial Distribution, including specialty distributors
2: MRO distribution channels
3: Transportation distribution channel (Marine, RV).
Develop and execute channel strategy (Rationalization, Positioning, Growth, Tactics). Understand strategy and tactics of Durable Good market segments and develop distribution strategies to support growth.
Develop sales process from lead generation to closing business to deliver budgeted sales and margin. Support Key Distributors Management activities.
Implement a channel structure required for current and future needs (traditional channel and e-commerce)
Establish financial goals for each team member, establish roles & responsibilities, monitor financialperformance
Responsible for hiring, training and mentoring direct sales team and distribution partners
Context and Environment:
- Continue to offer customers a highly technical product at a fair market price and establishing long term relationships with key distributor
Accountable to the durable goods commercial director, Bostik Inc. and their shareholders
Direct management of the direct sales and agents working in the distribution channel
Executing strategic plan through collaboration with various functions within Industrial Adhesives to partner for success
Bachelors degree, Technical degree preferred
5 + years experience managing industrial accounts. 3+ years managing a sales team
Experience managing distributors and in developing and executing a channel strategy across many market segments
Ability to work in a self directed hands-on environment
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, listening, organizational, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Strong computer skills (Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce.com)
Ability to travel 50 % of the time
