ManpowerGroup Production Operator in The Dalles, Oregon

Our client, a production company in the flavors and fragrances industry, is seeking a Production Operator to join their team. As a Production Operator you will be part of the team operating, maintaining, and supporting the key machinery and systems that turn raw materials into finished products. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a keen sense of taste and smell, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which will bring success in this organization.

Job Title: Production Operator I

Location: The Dalles, OR

What’s the Job?

  • Operate, maintain, monitor, and clean machinery including batching equipment, industrial dryers, and flake mills.

  • Weigh, sample, test, transport, and distribute raw materials and prepared compounds for use in the production process.

  • Properly document inputs, outputs, and processes according to pre-described best practices.

What’s Needed?

  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.

  • Capable of regular physical movements and, on occasion, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 75 lbs, and up to 450 lbs with support devices.

  • Keen vision, including near, far, color, depth, and peripheral vision.

  • Experience with computers or programmable logic controllers (PLC) or in the food manufacturing industry is a plus but not required.

  • Certification or experience driving forklifts is a plus but not required.
