ManpowerGroup Rolling Mill Machine Tech in Sterling Heights, Michigan

Our client, A Steel Manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Rolling Mill machine technician to join their team. As a Rolling Mill machine technician, you will be part of the production team supporting in the facility. The ideal candidate will have Machine operation experience, strong work ethic and organized skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Rolling Mill Machine Technician

Location: Sterling Heights

Pay Range: $24/hr-$30/hr based on experience

What’s the Job?

  • Assist the machine operator in operations on machine and/or repetitive machine operation duties

  • Identify and stage coils for processing per machine schedule in computer to ensure maximum efficiency

  • Setup machine by installing proper intermediate and work rolls per the incoming coil’s width

  • Position work pieces to be processed securely on machine

  • Mark/tag identification on material after processing. Update computer system with appropriate data for the exact specifications

  • Safely drive the Hi-lo through the plant to move coils and skids to designated areas and operate the over-head crane to move coils within the warehouse

  • Use precision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, and other production tools.

What’s Needed?

  • Computer skills necessary

  • Forklift experience

  • Machine operation experience
