Process Controls & Electrical Engineer
About the Role:
This role offers a stable work environment with limited travel (up to 20% domestic and international). You'll collaborate with a diverse clientele, leveraging your expertise in automation systems to tackle real-world manufacturing challenges. As a key member of our Automation Team, you'll play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of turnkey automation systems, from concept and design to component selection, panel building, instrumentation, and programming.
Develop programs for continuous and batch processes.
Collaborate with clients, including Fortune 500 companies, to conceptualize and define project requirements.
Troubleshoot electrical and process control issues.
Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and on-site commissioning.
Select instrumentation and design power systems as needed.
Contribute to ongoing engineering, project management, and technical tasks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience programming continuous and batch processes.
Strong understanding of Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and basic process equipment.
Proven electrical and process troubleshooting skills.
Experience with industrial automation software (PLC, HMI) for motors, instrumentation, and control valves.
Familiarity with Allen Bradley, Wonderware, FactoryTalk, and PlantPAX a plus.
Ability to integrate and design electrical and instrumentation hardware.
Proficient in designing and troubleshooting electrical power systems, control panels, and I/O schematics.
Excellent multitasking, teamwork, and independent work skills for fast-paced projects.
Strong work ethic, with a commitment to continuous learning and meticulous attention to detail.
