Infrastructure Engineer - St. Louis, MO
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in supporting our IT infrastructure and driving business continuity. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
Deploy new hardware and upgrade existing systems within the data center, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Provide ongoing support for existing infrastructure, including troubleshooting hardware issues and resolving user inquiries.
Manage incidents through the ticketing system, documenting resolutions for future reference.
Execute change requests within established timelines, adhering to best practices and security protocols.
Oversee equipment logistics, ensuring smooth shipping, receiving, and inventory management of hardware assets.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather IT needs, analyze requirements, and develop effective solutions.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to optimize infrastructure performance.
Participate in meetings to discuss technical strategies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation to ensure consistent practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role (flexible based on skills and experience).
5+ years of experience in network and server administration, hardware management, and performance monitoring tools.
Proven track record of successfully troubleshooting and resolving hardware-related issues.
In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level server hardware, network infrastructure, and configuration best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to incident resolution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
