Infrastructure Engineer - St. Louis, MO

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in supporting our IT infrastructure and driving business continuity. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy new hardware and upgrade existing systems within the data center, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

  • Provide ongoing support for existing infrastructure, including troubleshooting hardware issues and resolving user inquiries.

  • Manage incidents through the ticketing system, documenting resolutions for future reference.

  • Execute change requests within established timelines, adhering to best practices and security protocols.

  • Oversee equipment logistics, ensuring smooth shipping, receiving, and inventory management of hardware assets.

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather IT needs, analyze requirements, and develop effective solutions.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to optimize infrastructure performance.

  • Participate in meetings to discuss technical strategies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation to ensure consistent practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role (flexible based on skills and experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in network and server administration, hardware management, and performance monitoring tools.

  • Proven track record of successfully troubleshooting and resolving hardware-related issues.

  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level server hardware, network infrastructure, and configuration best practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to incident resolution.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
