ManpowerGroup Demand Planner in St. Louis, Missouri

Objective:

A Global Food Manufacturer is looking for a Demand Planner to own the company's volume-based forecasting process, driving accuracy and continuous improvement!

Position: Demand Planner

Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid)

Duration: Full-Time (Direct Hire)

Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000 + Bonus + Fulltime Benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand Forecasting Expertise:

  • Develop and maintain multi-level forecasts across various time horizons and units of measure, leveraging historical sales data, market research, and advanced statistical modeling techniques.

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate forecast accuracy, conducting root-cause analysis to identify and address any discrepancies.

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and implement new forecasting methodologies to enhance the accuracy and reliability of the forecasting process.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Facilitate a collaborative and inclusive forecasting process, fostering strong relationships with Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Finance.

  • Work closely with these teams to integrate market intelligence, new product launches, and customer trends into the baseline forecast.

  • Translate the unconstrained demand plan into actionable insights that inform production planning, inventory management, and resource allocation.

  • Process & Technology Champion:

  • Lead the Demand S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of accurate forecasts for both annual budget development and quarterly financial reports.

  • Champion the implementation of new forecasting technologies and methodologies, including data visualization tools like Power BI and advanced forecasting software.

  • Collaborate with IT and other functions to maintain the integrity of data and systems supporting the forecasting process.

  • Data & Reporting Mastery:

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of forecasting data, employing strong data analysis skills and attention to detail.

  • Generate insightful reports and presentations that communicate key forecasting trends and insights to relevant stakeholders at all levels.

  • Track and analyze forecast accuracy metrics, identifying areas for improvement and proactively implementing solutions.

  • Project Management:

  • Take ownership of leading new product/customer setups within the supply chain, ensuring a smooth and efficient launch process.

  • Support and contribute to other supply chain improvement initiatives as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Operations, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or other technical field.

  • Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel and Power Query..

Preferred Requirements:

  • 3 years of supply chain experience, with at least 1 year of experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.

  • Strong knowledge of advanced forecasting methods, probability & statistics.

  • Experience operating with Demand Planning & Forecasting software (GAINSystems preferred).

  • Experience with formal sales and operations planning (S&OP/IBP) process.
