ManpowerGroup Mechanical Designer in Southfield, Michigan
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their team. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for developing detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, Fixtures, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently & as part of cross-functional teams, able to work under minimal supervision and exhibit a high attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Location: Southfield, MI
Pay Rate: Up to $37.00/hour (will be dependent on experience level)
Key Responsibilities
Strong understanding of Body Assembly, GEO (geometry setting) and Fixture Tools for Framing lines, Bodyside Systems and Sub Assembly for tooling fixture design
Strong knowledge of auto assembly strategies (i.e. part flow within an assembly plant / body Shop)
Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
Requirements
Prior experience designing Siemens NX software
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
May be required to travel to other Facilities, and customer site to assist in the installation / start-up and final machine acceptance.
