Manpower Group Plant Manager in Southern West Virginia, West Virginia
Manpower of WV is excited to announce we are now recruiting a Plant Manager for a Southern West Virginia production facility. Qualified candidates have 5-10 years of proven experience in management and plant operations. Ideal candidates have safely manufactured engineered lumber products and have strong history of leading people development, reliability, financial, procurement, productivity, environmental and other site stewardship responsibilities.
This is a direct hire opportunity through Manpower Professional. The Plant Manager will have full responsibility and accountability for all production operations of a growing operation in Southern West Virginia.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall leadership, safety, direction, quality, delivery and motivation objectives for the Plant. Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators to achieve these performance objectives.
Develop and implement long range and short-term objectives, plans and programs for the Plant which aligns with overall business objectives.
Create and maintain a positive work environment that centers on a team-based model that celebrates and rewards associates for coordinated objectives.
Demonstrates a strong sense of business acumen and quality how manufacturing operations impact overall Company success.
Oversees that production equipment is properly maintained, running and minimal disruptions occur
Develop and manage Plant operational budget to include both capital and expense items. Directs production schedule ensuring all products are available on site to accommodate production demands.
Lead a culture of continuous improvement and be a champion of activities, programs and events to drive continuous improvement efforts throughout the Plant.
Own the communication process to ensure Plant personnel & company senior management are kept informed of conditions, trends, and important activities affecting the Wood business as well as daily results, quality issues and other business needs.
Partner with organizational leaders and outside partners to develop optimum capacity, efficiency and profitability
Plan daily and weekly production targets and delegate resources to ensure productivity and customer orders meet quantity/quality specifications
Other duties as assigned.
This position will oversee 50-75 employees depending on production demands.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
5-10 years of production/plant management experience related to Mill or woodworking industry
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating a diverse team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proven interest in superior quality, manufacturing and developing people
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
