ManpowerGroup Mechanical Engineer II in Schiller Park, Illinois

Our client within industrial automation systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will conceptualize and design automated equipment according to customer and internal specification; capable of being the Mechanical Engineering Lead on small to medium size machines ($550K - $1.5M), or any size replication project.

Location: Rolling Meadows, IL

Pay Range: $75-88k (DOE)

What’s the Job?

  • Design cam, servo, and air operated stations and to make changes to existing designs.

  • Execute cam (drive) design.

  • Ensure the design is functional, robust, and cost effective.

  • Innovate and use good judgment to incorporate ATS Life Sciences Chicago standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Research and specify appropriate materials and purchased components.

  • Create detail drawings, assembly drawings, bill of materials, organize release packages, and update drawings.

What’s Needed?

  • College degree in mechanical engineering, technology or equivalent experience.

  • Two to six (2-6) years of automation experience.

  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, 3D Solid Works or similar CAD systems.

  • Proficient with computers, including programs such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, Microsoft Office suite, etc.

  • Able to operate fax machines, copiers, printers/plotters, etc.
