Fundraiser Ambassador:

The Ambassador will:

• Solicit contributions from corporations and individuals for nonprofit institutions, such as hospitals, colleges and charities.

• Raise awareness of the charity and its work, which may involve giving talks to groups or dealing with the media.

• Develop fund-raising drives, organize volunteers to run them, and monitor progress.

The Ambassador provides fundraising strategies, executive-level volunteer support, and donor cultivation/relationship management to assist local companies in running successful workplace campaigns. This position is responsible for supporting fundraising in assigned account portfolio, and for promoting the long-term relationships of the program partners.

Position Requirements & Qualifications

• Two (2) years demonstrated history of sales, fundraising, and/or community outreach success.

• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred; comparable experience considered.

• Microsoft Office suite proficiency required. Microsoft 365 preferred.

• CRM database experience required. Salesforce experience preferred.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and have use of an insured motor vehicle.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

• Attend a full week of orientation regardless of regular work schedule.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Work in close collaboration with our Development team to facilitate the management and coordination of annual employee and corporate giving campaigns.

• Conduct public presentations in person, by phone, and virtually about United Way to audiences of various makeup and sizes.

• Attend orientation and take advantage of ongoing professional development and networking opportunities. With this support, you will gain in-depth knowledge regarding the services of United Way to help grow revenue and improve performance of the campaign.

• Provide dedicated management and excellent customer service to accounts.

• Build rapport with all internal teams, quickly becoming part of the United Way family.
