Project Manager – Contractor

Located: Boise or San Jose

Joining the Global Communication & Marketing (GCM) team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing program and project management activities. This position requires proficiency in workflow, project, and portfolio management, along with the ability to handle multiple projects in project management tools. You'll collaborate with various GCM teams, ensuring project consistency and efficiency while reporting to the Director of Marketing Planning & Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Program and Project Execution : Drive execution from planning to completion by defining scope, resource allocation, and strategies for managing risk and quality.

  • Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed plans with key milestones.

  • Monitoring and Analysis : Continuously monitor and analyze scope, status, resources, quality, and risks.

  • Obstacle Mitigation : Navigate ambiguity and overcome obstacles to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

  • Project Management Tool Utilization : Manage multiple projects in GCM's project management tool, Workfront, including task assignment and deadline management.

  • Meeting Management : Identify meeting requirements and ensure effective stakeholder communication.

  • Reporting : Produce standardized program and project reports for stakeholders.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Identify requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors.

  • Critical Thinking : Apply critical thinking and project management skills to foresee risks and resolve issues proactively.

  • Relationship Building : Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders as a reliable and driven project manager.

  • Process Optimization : Contribute to optimizing project management tools and processes, including implementing and reflecting process changes.

  • Documentation and Recommendations : Contribute to process documentation and make recommendations for future program and project improvements.

  • Assessment Protocols : Develop protocols for evaluating program and project performance and quality.

Education/Experience

  • Experience : 5+ years in project or program management.

  • Tools Experience : Proficiency in project management tools; Workfront experience preferred.

  • Certification : Professional certification in program or project management (PMP or PRINCE2 preferred).

  • Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field.

  • Change Management : Knowledge of change management principles.

  • Leadership Skills : Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.

  • Software Expertise : Expertise in workplace software like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
