JOB SUMMARY:
Provides standard administrative, technical, or production services or information that supports others, and/or organizes data and information that is used and analyzed by others.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Receives merchandise from a variety of vendors daily and match the content of each parcel with the purchase order and packing slip to ensure the content is free of damage and compatible with documentation; ensures that both partial and full shipments are documented properly to avoid improper accountability.
Prepares Discrepancy Reports as appropriate and research/reconcile overages and shortages with vendors, customers, and Senior Purchasers.
Inputs purchase order information into computerized
Uses computer extensively to review status of requisitions and fixed assets, to effect deletions of receiving documents, to process modifications, and to remove approvals for
Compiles monthly operational statistics pertaining to purchase orders, receivers, and discrepancies processed.
Tags and documents tag number, serial number, model number, and other identifying markings for fixed assets and controlled items as they enter the District's system of accountability; transfers prepared documentation to the Inventory Control Manager for further processing.
