ManpowerGroup HVAC Engineer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Title: HVAC Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh PA 15219 (Onsite)

Duration: 3 Month’s Contract

Pay Range $25.00 to $30.00/hr.

We are looking for a “HVAC Engineer” to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Summary

Have assigned 20 or so different client location. Schedule one of those for the day;. Go to the clinic spend the day doing what is needed, changing ceiling tiles. Be given a work order list to and perform whatever is on the list for that scheduled day.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems in assigned facilities to achieve the most efficient results.

  • Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe manner and minimize downtime through proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance.

  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.

  • Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned building(s).

  • Inspect building HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.

  • Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.

  • Complete maintenance and repair records as required.

  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

  • Review historical maintenance records to develop a proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedule.

  • Operate company vehicle in a safe manner and follow prescribed routines to service locations in a timely manner.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of seven years experience as a certified refrigerant technician.

  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.

  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair as well as CFC Certification.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.

  • Ability to effectively present information.

  • Knowledge of financial terms and principles and ability to understand operating budgets.

  • Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions.

  • Conducts basic financial analysis.

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.

  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.

  • Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Proficiency with personal computer and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training.

  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.

  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Must Have Skills:

  • HVAC Services

  • Plumbing

  • Electrical (main concentration in HVAC)

Nice to Have Skills:

  • HVAC experience

  • Some experience with drywall and ceiling tiles

  • Light electrical work

  • Familiarity with dedicated outlets for machines that often get wet

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Universal or 608 certification
