Manpower Group Raw Material Specialist in Orange, California

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Raw Material Specialist will review material release documentation as well as other ancillary attachments such as vendor technical documentation, certificate of analysis/compliance and confirmatory test results, in order to ensure the timely release of raw material for production. With understanding of the material receipt, testing and disposition process, they will be expected to triage and resolve more complex issues. They will provide input on issues within their area of responsibility to Quality management for resolution and/or improvements. The Specialist will also be expected to perform all associated MRP transactions as part of the release as well as other Quality functions within MRP.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Technical expert for determining appropriate analytical confirmatory testing of raw materials. Ensures alignment with current relevant monographs. Reviews and approves raw material qualification and testing documentation.

  • Responsibilities include initial assessment, approval, and ongoing maintenance of raw material suppliers.

  • Works with internal staff and clients to identify appropriate raw materials for client projects. Develop and approve raw material test specifications.

  • Manages the company wide materials compliance program including expired materials

  • Initiates and owns Deviations, CAPA's, and Change Controls as appropriate. Works directly with external testing labs, and other departments responsible for cGMP activities around outsourced testing to resolve deviations and other compliance issues in a timely manner

  • Maintain testing laboratories Quality Agreements

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts through facilitating, leading, and collaborating with internal cross functional teams and suppliers

  • Perform routine and for-cause supplier audits as assigned (25%)

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Laboratory testing knowledge of raw materials such as TLC, HPLC, ICP-MS.

  • Knowledge of microbiology a plus.

  • Experience in GMP environment preferred.

  • Experience with MRP system, and Microsoft Windows preferred

  • Self-starter, excellent written and verbal communicator at all levels, able to tolerate challenging workloads and changing priorities, attention to detail, works effectively individually and with team

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in science related background.
