Our client, in the Eye Care Industry is seeking an Eye Care Professional to join their team. As a Eye Care Professional, you will be part of the retail supporting the customer service team. The ideal candidate will has strong retail sales skills and willing to go to various Pinellas County locations
Job Title: Optical Assistant
Location: Oldsmar, FL
Pay Range: $17-$19 DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
What’s the Job?
Obtain patient's prescription from ophthalmologist or optometrist. Recommend frames, lenses and products that are suitable for the patient's style, face and specifications. Adjust and fit frame according to the prescription and patients' specifications, as well as to the patient's face.
Gather patient's information including vision and medical insurance information. Schedule, confirm appointments.
Prepare and submit the order to the proper lab for manufacturing.
Teaching patients how to wear and care for both contact lenses and eyeglasses.
Repairing or replacing broken frames.
Administrative duties such as filling, following up with patients, answering phones, assisting the doctor with special orders and referrals.
What’s Needed?
Customer Service Experience prefer
Be able to use equipment such as lensometer, auto refractor, pupilometer, calipers and hand tools.
Problem Solving skills required
Managing multiple patients
Computer proficient
