JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing administrative support to assist the VP, Corporate Secretary & Associate General Counsel with coordinating the preparation, review, distribution and management of land asset investment and company office leasing materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Land Asset Management Coordination

  • Review land investment materials and wire requests to ensure all required elements are included and errors/omissions are correct

  • Assist the company's land teams with preparation of land materials

  • Memorialize and record decisions on land investment

  • Maintain and organize land asset records in the relevant database, including Microsoft SharePoint

  • Support the land investment process and assist with making process improvements

  • Identify key elements and important data points of land deals and ensure their accuracy for reference and use by national accounting and division land personnel who will use to track expenditures on acquisition and development

  • Ensure all requirements are present and accurate in land submissions and exhibits

  • Collaborate with division land personnel as needed

  • Lease Administration Management

  • Liaise with Treasury department, divisions, and outside counsel to facilitate review and completion of leases related to company operations

  • Collaborate with outside counsel and treasury department on their review of contracts, particularly when leases are extended, adjusted, and when terms are being renegotiated

  • Maintain accurate records of lease administration in databases

  • Ad hoc projects as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • High school degree or equivalent required

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline preferred

Experience

  • 1-3 years working in asset management, ideally in a legal or land department

  • Experience with document management and record keeping is required

  • Experience in land and or asset coordination/management is strongly preferred

  • Prior experience in the Real Estate industry, ideally in Residential Homebuilding is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects and complete tasks quickly in a deadline-driven environment

  • High attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; Ability to be flexible and prioritize as various projects and tasks come up

  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills for internal and external communication

  • Ability to learn and work proficiently in a variety of databases

  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and creative problem-solving skills

  • Strong critical thinking capabilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues

  • An independent self-starter

Work Requirements

  • 8-hour work days with flexibility to work overtime when needed due to special projects

  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, trade partners, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company

  • Position is located on-site for the first 3 months of employment (10990 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90024) #LI-onsite

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Base Salary: The expected base salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 per year depending on experience paid semi-monthly.

  • Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

  • Benefits: Employee benefits available for this position include health care (medical, dental and vision) benefits, a 401(k) employee savings plan with Company match, vacation pay, paid sick days, and a monthly mobile phone stipend.
