ManpowerGroup Purchasing Specialist in Huntington, West Virginia

Manpower is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent for our client in Huntington, WV!

What you will do:

  • Order job-specific material for the production and engineering departments. - Work effectively with various department managers to ensure efficient completion and ordering of materials.

  • Work with R&D to order and source material for ongoing projects.

  • Monitor inventory levels and create packing slips as needed. - Issue purchase orders and request RFQs as needed.

  • Find substitutions for material that is unavailable due to raw material availability, lead time issues, and/or extended logistics.

What requirements you should have :

  • Strong experience with computers, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word. Experience with Traverse, RootStock, and Salesforce is preferred but not required.

  • Previous experience in purchasing or similar field.

  • Experience with ISO, inventory management or material sourcing helpful. - Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and a strong negotiator, documenter, and communicator.

  • Minimum of a high school diploma.

  • The ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
