Role Summary -
- As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for assembling and constructing metal products by cutting, grinding, polishing, and welding materials according to specifications. You should be highly skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, as well as experienced in handling a variety of metal fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery.
Responsibilities -
Set up welding machines or using a Welding Procedure Specification.
Read or interpret blueprints for specific welding requirements.
TIG weld steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel components.
Verify dimensions and product specifications.
Provide great level of attention to detail.
Maintain clean and safe work environment.
Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements -
Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and training preferred.
Experience with drill press, shearing, lathe, bandsaw and brake press highly preferred.
Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel is preferred.
Experience with TIG welding highly preferred.
Ability to identify and measure material.
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges.
Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently.
Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time.
Willingness to learn and have a dependable work ethic.
