Network Engineer V
Location: Hybrid, Herndon, VA, US
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in-office; remote other days
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range: $70/hr. - $75/hr.
We are seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer V with a minimum of 7+ years in the industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in IP networking fundamentals, major internet routing protocols, and various router platforms.

BGP
Familiarity with Unix Systems
Familiarity with Python/code
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in applying IP protocols.
Possess in-depth knowledge of and experience with major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.
Have significant experience with major router platforms, specifically Cisco 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, 76xx, including all compatible supervisory and line cards.
Exhibit excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.
Show expertise in a wide range of protocols and technologies, including DWDM, T1/DS1, DS3, SONET (OC3, OC48), 802.2/3, 802.1d VLANs/STP, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS, IPSEC & VPNs, netflow, DNS, and HTTP.
Utilize Linux/Unix skills effectively.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 7+ years of industry experience.
Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols.
In-depth knowledge of and experience with major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.
Extensive experience with major router platforms, specifically Cisco 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, 76xx, including all compatible supervisory and line cards.
