Our client is seeking for a Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Asset Data and Information Specialist to join their team.
Job Title: Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Asset Data and Information Specialist
Location: Edmonton preferred , Calgary as 2nd option
Description:
This position will provide asset and data information expertise to the Enterprise Asset Management team and enterprise. This is a key role to implement the Enterprise Asset and Work Management data strategy, in line with the Institute for Asset Management (IAM) and Global Forum for Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) guidance on Asset Data and Information.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and support of governance and strategy documentation related to the program, including policies, frameworks, standards, guidelines, and procedures
Identify opportunities to incorporate Industry standards and practices into Enterprise and Business Unit processes, standards, and frameworks related to Asset and Work Management
Support working group coordinators with KPI success measures related to asset data domains
Work closely with EAM team members to identify key stakeholders and participate in cross-functional working sessions to capture and create business requirement documents
Work closely with the EAM Manager Asset Data & Information to align with enterprise and program strategic intents and to determine milestones and deliverables schedule
Discover and document patterns and trends across multiple data sets and participate in activities related to data enhancements / enrichment
Develop, improve and/or maintain data management and data governance processes, procedures and requirements and identify opportunities for improvement
Understand business process and translate data needs from these processes
Collaborate with Enterprise Data Management Office, TIS Enterprise architecture and Business Unit Operational teams to ensure solution compatibility with enterprise data standards through data working groups and council
Participate in Sprint Planning and Sprint Review activities within Agile ways of working
MUST HAVE qualifications:
Related university degree (e.g., Business, Statistics/Math, Engineering, MBA, or equivalent experience)
Five or more years of related experience (e.g., Business Analyst, Asset Data Analyst/Specialist, or similar role)
Proficient in querying, manipulating, and analyzing data using analysis (Excel, Power BI) from a variety of sources (ERP systems, Access/Oracle databases, Excel spreadsheets)
Knowledge of core business applications such as SAP, Oracle or Maximo that are relevant to ERP
Ability to interpret data flow charts to understand what data is captured and how it travels between various applications
Proficient in the principles of Asset Management (Institute for Asset Management (IAM) and Global Forum for Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM)
Experience in data governance and management including data taxonomy and structure (domain, subdomain, entity)
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to make decisions and recommendations
Strong relationship management and skills in the areas of facilitation, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and team mindset
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
Business process management experience
Flexibility and ability to work at a fast pace, managing competing priorities, often while working independently
Proactive, self-motivated, and ability to strive for results
NICE TO HAVE qualifications:
BPMN process notation experience
Organizational change management experience or awareness
Knowledge of Agile fundamentals
Knowledge of data governance software (e.g., Collibra)
Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Certification
Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or similar certifications
