As a key member of our support team, you'll be the go-to person for troubleshooting complex hardware infrastructure issues and ensuring seamless data center operations.

Computer Hardware Technician

6-11 Month Contract

Greater Columbus OH

$25/hour

Various Shifts Available: Day shift is from 6 AM - 4:30 PM and Night shift is from 6:30 PM - 5 AM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Utilize hands-on experience with computer tech/parts to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation on supported technologies, ensuring knowledge transfer to junior staff.

  • System Administration: Demonstrate basic to intermediate system administration skills, including remote administration tasks.

  • Project Management: Execute small projects independently and collaborate on larger local projects with your manager.

  • Autonomous Problem Solving: Independently resolve support issues and act as an escalation point for junior technicians.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-On Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with computer tech/parts.

  • Technical Education: Knowledge of computer functioning and systems administration.

  • Fast Learner: Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and retain knowledge.

  • Scripting Skills: Capability to automate tasks using scripts when required.

  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to innovate, make decisions independently, and follow detailed instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: CompTIA, Linux Cloud, or any cloud practitioner certifications.

  • Educational Background: Degree or coursework in Computer Science or Systems.
