ManpowerGroup Engineering Technologist in Columbus, Ohio

Our client, in the Utility Industry, is seeking a Engineering Technologist to join their team!

Location: Columbus, OH or Tulsa, OK (Hybrid)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with the possibility of overtime as needed)

Travel: Up to 5%, occasionally ranging from one day to several days at a time for trainings, meetings, or on-site visits.

Pay Rate : $29-37/hr.

What’s the Job?

  • Utilize ASPEN OneLiner to accurately model transmission system topology, including lines, generators, and transformers for Medium, High, and Extra High Voltages.

  • Perform area protection studies and develop relay settings for transmission line and station protection schemes.

  • Contribute to the development of system-wide protection standards for transmission and distribution station protection, metering, and control applications.

  • Perform activities related to NERC P&C standards compliance.

What’s Needed?

  • 2+ years of experience modeling transmission and generation system topology using ASPEN OneLiner.

  • Familiarity with NERC 693 Compliance Standards.

  • Experience with Microsoft VBA-based macros/tools or Python programming.

  • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, including process development, implementation, and training.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (preferred) or engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
