ManpowerGroup Engineering Technologist in Columbus, Ohio
Our client, in the Utility Industry, is seeking a Engineering Technologist to join their team!
Location: Columbus, OH or Tulsa, OK (Hybrid)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with the possibility of overtime as needed)
Travel: Up to 5%, occasionally ranging from one day to several days at a time for trainings, meetings, or on-site visits.
Pay Rate : $29-37/hr.
What’s the Job?
Utilize ASPEN OneLiner to accurately model transmission system topology, including lines, generators, and transformers for Medium, High, and Extra High Voltages.
Perform area protection studies and develop relay settings for transmission line and station protection schemes.
Contribute to the development of system-wide protection standards for transmission and distribution station protection, metering, and control applications.
Perform activities related to NERC P&C standards compliance.
What’s Needed?
2+ years of experience modeling transmission and generation system topology using ASPEN OneLiner.
Familiarity with NERC 693 Compliance Standards.
Experience with Microsoft VBA-based macros/tools or Python programming.
Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, including process development, implementation, and training.
Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (preferred) or engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
