Experis/Manpower Group has partnered with a leading financial organization in Chicago, IL for a contract UX/UI Front-end Developer to assist their team. It will be a Hybrid role.
Title: UX/UI Front-end Developer
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 12-18+ months
Responsibilities
Bridge the gap between design and development.
Translate wireframes, user needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities into high-fidelity HTML coded prototypes for development teams to consume.
Validate technical concepts and ensure alignment with design and development standards.
Create reusable web components.
Drive creativity and innovation within the team.
Collaborate and build trust with design, product, and tech partners.
Tasks
Develop high-fidelity prototypes using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery.
Implement and ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and AAA standards for accessibility.
Develop responsive user interfaces using the React framework.
Manage and maintain code using GIT source control.
Utilize npm, gulp, and grunt for task automation and package management.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Ensure attention to detail and thoroughness in accomplishing tasks.
Meet established deadlines consistently.
Skills and Qualifications:
Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of experience in front-end development.
Proficient in creating web components using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery.
Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA and AAA standards and ability to translate those into code.
Experience using React for developing responsive user interfaces.
Working knowledge of GIT, Jira, npm, gulp, and grunt.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High level of accuracy and thoroughness.
Excellent organizational skills, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Proven track record of delivering and meeting established deadlines.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience (desired).
Experience in the financial or similar industry (desired).
Foundational understanding of user experience principles (desired).
Proficiency with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Axure (desired).
Strong skills in interaction and visual design (desired).
