In this pivotal role, you'll drive efficiency and excellence within the Production and Packaging Teams. Job Title: Production Line Lead
Location: Carol Stream, IL
Pay Range: $19.75/hour
Hours: Monday-Saturday, 2:30 PM - 2:00 AM
Environment: 30 degrees cold food manufacturing
What’s the Job?
Overseeing pre-op and/or tear down depending on shift; coordinating line set-up.
Reviewing production issues, schedules, and product specifications; collaborating with other departments to prevent downtime.
Leading continuous improvement plant-wide.
Assigning personnel to work stations and giving direction; providing associate training as needed and recommending corrective actions for non-compliance.
Ensuring specification compliance and being responsible for documentation and legible record keeping, including lot tracking, waste, quality checks, product usage, production, and standards. Must be prepared to stay late to complete necessary documentation or production paperwork.
What’s Needed?
Three to six months related work experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet be flexible and work in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate with supervisors and line workers.
Basic math skills, ability to enter data into computer programs, and attention to detail.
Physical ability to stand, operate tools, lift 40 pounds occasionally, and work a flexible schedule including necessary overtime.
