Our client, a leading player in the consumer electronics industry, is seeking a talented Contract Engineer Embedded Mid to join their team. Job Title: Contract Engineer Embedded Mid
Location: Burlingame, CA
What’s the Job?
Partner with cross-functional teams to translate device requirements into innovative embedded software solutions.
Design, develop, and rigorously test embedded software for cutting-edge consumer electronic devices.
Lead the migration of devices from Android 11 to Android 14, ensuring a smooth transition (experience mandatory).
Seamlessly integrate the Gabeldorsche Bluetooth Stack with the BSP layer (must-have experience).
Demonstrate a deep understanding of Linux BSPs and wireless stacks, with a focus on BLE stack integration.
Develop and maintain robust wireless drivers for Wi-Fi, BLE, NFC, and GPS on Linux-based products.
Possess strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
Bonus points for experience working with Zephyr or other RTOS environments.
What’s Needed?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
5-10 years of experience in the embedded systems domain
Proven track record of successfully migrating Android devices from Android 11 to Android 14 (mandatory)
In-depth knowledge of the Gabeldorsche Bluetooth Stack (mandatory)
Solid understanding of Linux BSPs and wireless stack integration
Experience developing and maintaining wireless drivers (Wi-Fi, BLE, NFC, GPS) on Linux-based systems
Strong C/C++ programming skills
Knowledge of Wi-Fi and/or BLE driver stacks on Linux (highly preferred)
