This team is the backbone of their cloud services, and they need your expertise to help keep their global operations running smoothly.

Critical Facilities Technician

18 month contract

Boydton, VA - onsite

$32-$36/hour

What You'll Do

  • Monitor & Inspect: Perform routine checks and inspections of critical environment-related facility equipment, including HVAC, mechanical systems, and more, ensuring everything is running safely and efficiently.

  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Engage in various types of maintenance tasks and assist in troubleshooting equipment issues, following detailed methods of procedure (MOPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Safety & Security: Uphold and enforce all safety and security protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

  • Emergency Response: Assist in monitoring and responding to emergency situations, adhering to emergency operating procedures (EOPs).

  • Documentation & Reporting: Keep detailed records of maintenance tasks, issues, and follow-ups, ensuring all data is accurately captured in our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

What We're Looking For

  • Education & Experience: High School diploma, GED, apprenticeship/vocational qualification, or equivalent, with 3+ years of work/applied learning experience in mechanical, manufacturing, automotive, electrical, controls, data center, or related fields.

  • Health & Safety: Ability to pass required health-related screenings, such as hearing tests.

  • Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of technical services experience in high-availability environments (e.g., data centers, hospitals, oil and gas refineries).

  • Associates Degree or technical trade certification with 2+ years of relevant experience.

  • Equivalent experience in related fields is also considered.
