The Opportunity
We are seeking a results-oriented Focus Factory Manager to lead a high-performing team within our dedicated manufacturing facility. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production for a specific product line, ensuring we meet or exceed ambitious goals for output, quality, and cost-efficiency. You'll leverage your deep manufacturing expertise and leadership skills to drive continuous improvement, cultivate a collaborative work environment, and foster a culture of safety and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize production processes, maximize output, and minimize costs within the focus factory.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including production planning, scheduling, capacity management, and inventory control.
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
Champion continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
Manage the focus factory's budget, allocate resources effectively, and make data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.
Foster a collaborative environment by leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, quality control, suppliers, and customers.
Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management on the focus factory's performance and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA a plus).
7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully implementing continuous improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results in productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and project management best practices.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
Proficient in using MES, ERP software, and data analysis tools.
Prior experience with the company's product line and industry (preferred).
Advanced degree or professional certification in project management (PMP), inventory management (CPIM), or Lean Six Sigma (a plus).
