Demand Planner

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Demand Planner to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in our success by developing accurate forecasts and optimizing inventory levels. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis, inventory management, and supply chain processes to create effective forecasting models and drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasting models that consider industry trends, historical sales data, and evolving demand patterns.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Sales & Marketing, Accounting/Finance, Operations, and Procurement to identify business improvement opportunities and solve complex problems.

  • Analyze data from diverse sources to generate reliable forecasts and provide insightful recommendations.

  • Create clear and concise forecast reports and establish key inventory performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Manage inventory levels by recommending adjustments to ensure optimal stocking levels and avoid overstocking.

  • Lead forecasting and analysis activities for Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, sourcing, manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain.

  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.

  • Expertise in data analysis, including proficiency in advanced Excel functions and reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large and complex datasets with strong mathematical and statistical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively present data analysis and findings to diverse stakeholders.

  • Collaborative and results-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong self-motivation and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) a plus.

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a collaborative and supportive team environment.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

  • Understanding of key financial terms relevant to sourcing and purchasing (preferred).

  • Approximately 20% travel required.
